Today, we are proudly announcing that our website, The Peach Design.com, has been published in the new best sellers book in the store (Asia Books at Thai’s Main shopping district anyway), Web Design Index Volume 9
What happened?
It was about almost 5 - 6 months ago that we have been contacted and submitted our site to their database. We were very excited back then, because this is our first opportunity to be published in a globally-known book, such as Web Design Index.
But after checking the status of the book almost every week, checking the local stores every month, we had kind of given up.
Today, I walked pass a book store and saw this strange looking book (it’s very tall, for a book) and recognized the layout image used as the cover of the book of one of the portfolio site I came across earlier when I was in the process of creating The Peach Design from scratch: http://cpeople.ru/ . Suddenly I recognized the name of the book and realized that it was the book that I was looking for for ages.
I searched through the index hoping that my site will be chosen to publish in the book. Going through the letter T, searching for my site, and BAM! I got hit by a bus.. nah, just joking. My site came up on the list. That was the moment of joy.
What I have learned
All I have to say to you readers is that, opportunities doesn’t come and go easily, take it, even though you might not get it or you might thought you had no chance against others, sometimes it may as well be the opposite.
Receiving something unexpected is more joyful then something you already expected.
